Finance Manager

Looking for a job as a Finance Manager and Dutch speaking? The Finance Manager Benelux oversees the finance and accounting functions for the entire organization in the Benelux. Ensure sufficient internal control and full compliance of company policies. Act as business partner for Country Manager and the country management team to provide required financial information and professional advice. Responsible for producing accurate and timely financial information to drive critical business decisions. Initiate projects for cost controls, process improvement and improvement of operation productivity.

Supervise the financial and accounting operations across the entire Benelux organization. Guarantee robust internal control measures and adherence to company policies. Serve as a strategic collaborator to the Country Manager and the country management team, delivering essential financial insights and expert guidance. Take accountability for generating precise and timely financial data to inform pivotal business choices. Initiate initiatives aimed at cost management, process enhancement, and operational efficiency improvement.

Principle duties and responsibilities of the Finance Manager Benelux:

• You are familiar with Dutch legislation, branch and regulations in the Netherlands
• Oversee the comprehensive financial reporting and accounting functions across business units.
• Take responsibility for managing Company processes, encompassing month-end closing, payments, collections, financial analysis, and budgeting.
• Furnish management with precise financial reports and information.
• Ensure that the responsible country adheres to Company's internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Recruit, train, develop, motivate, and monitor the performance of direct reports, while also devising a succession plan to attain functional and departmental objectives within the People-Service-Profit framework.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and implement enhancements in forecasting and reporting processes.
• Pursue continuous process improvement, including benchmarking against industry leaders.
• Act as the primary Finance contact for regional and corporate finance teams, addressing various finance, accounting, and reporting matters.
• Serve as the Finance point of contact for local bankers, regional and corporate treasury teams, handling cash management and treasury issues.
• Function as the primary Finance point of contact for the responsible country, supporting ad hoc needs.
• Partner with business associates for weekly/monthly forecasting and reporting.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain KPI dashboards, conducting regular reviews with business partners.
• Assess the potential profitability of new developments, projects, and initiatives.
• Troubleshoot as necessary to ensure that corrective measures are identified and implemented to achieve full legal compliance and support management decisions.
• Communicate with various functions at the country level to formulate enhancement plans that meet business requirements and address internal customer requests.
• Liaise with both internal and external auditors.
• Work closely with the Corporate financial reporting team to ensure that financial reports are prepared in accordance with the system.
• Prepare and review financial reports to ensure compliance with local system for local statutory filings and tax purposes.
• Review and submit tax returns in accordance with local tax regulations.
• Prepare and present the annual budget to senior management; exercise control, monitoring, and reporting on a monthly basis to achieve budgetary objectives.
