Goal:

This practical, fascinating, and interactive course is designed for employees who are interested in working in the air freight and logistics industry or are currently working in this field.

Target audience:

• Prospective employees who have no previous experience at Schiphol or transportation and logistics, working in organizations involved in the logistics process such as customs brokers, airlines, handlers, GSAs, and transport companies.
• Employees who work in operational positions, such as warehouse employees or drivers, and wish to transition into administrative positions.
• Employees indirectly involved in the logistics process at Schiphol who want to gain more knowledge about the logistics world.
• Employees who want to update their knowledge of air freight.

Subjects:

The course will cover essential topics, including the logistics air freight chain, preparation of import/export documents (including the air waybill), declaration processes, customs goods, module export employee, and safety/security.  Additionally, the AEO status will be discussed on the first evening, and the section on incoterms will also be covered to a limited extent. The course will include practical assignments and reviews.

Study time:

Students will receive work assignments, such as handling an export shipment (including drawing up an air waybill, making an export declaration, and calculating customs value), and handling an import shipment.

Duration of training:

The training consists of 7 half-day sessions on location at Schiphol, starting at 6:30 PM and ending around 9:00 PM.

Cost and registration :

The cost of the course is €495.00 (excl. VAT), which includes food/drink and the complete course book/materials. Students can register via e-mail or telephone, and after registration, we will confirm the course place by e-mail.

Certificate:

During the course, practice assignments will be completed, and air freight/customs documents will be drawn up.  A short exam will be taken at the end of the course, and upon successful completion, a diploma will be awarded.
