Quick unload, load and go.
Working as a warehouse employee takes care of the loading, unloading and storage of goods. Storage is often short-lived. The loading and unloading process is done manually and with internal means of transport such as the forklift or electric pallet truck (EPT).
The goods are brought by the truck driver. The goods are delivered loose, on pallets, on airplane plates or in containers. You unload the truck with a forklift or EPT. Before acceptance, check that the numbers are correct and that the goods are free of damage. They are then sorted and placed on pallets. Building up the pallets is done manually and can be a bit heavier physically. After applying shrink film, the pallets are often stored for a short period with a forklift or EPT at a location in the warehouse. When the goods are picked up again, the goods are given an extra label, depending on the transport. The shipment is loaded into the truck with a forklift or EPT. After checking the documents (transport documents and possibly customs documents), the driver or truck driver is allowed to drive the goods. Often a hand scanner is also used to process goods in the computer system.
