To strengthen our quality team, we are looking for a Quality Controller Flowers / Quality Assurance Officer with a sharp eye for detail and a strong passion for flowers.
📅 Availability to work on Saturdays is required = extra money!
Your role as Quality Controller Flowers:
In this role, you are responsible for flower quality control throughout the entire supply chain: from intake and production to dispatch. You play a key role in ensuring that all cut flowers meet grower specifications, customer requirements and quality standards.
🔍 Inspect incoming cut flowers according to intake and quality procedures
📝 Record, document and report all inspection findings accurately
✅ Check finished goods to ensure customer and product specifications are met
🏭 Support production and packing processes on the lines
👀 Monitor product quality and integrity during production
📤 Carry out positive release inspections prior to dispatch
🌡️ Place shipments on HOLD in case of quality risks, such as high temperatures (hot shipments)
📸 Prepare and submit quality claims to suppliers, supported by photographic evidence
⚠️ Report non-conformances and inconsistencies to farms and suppliers
🤝 Be multi-skilled and support different operational departments when required
👤 Perform additional duties as instructed by the Technical Manager
Your profile Quality Controller Flowers:
🎓 Good standard of education, particularly in English and Mathematics
💻 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
🧠 Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control is an advantage
🌺 Experience within the flower, floriculture or fresh produce industry is a strong plus
🔎 Knowledge of quality inspections, quality standards and procedures
💪 Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
🤝 Comfortable working independently as well as within a team
❤️ Detail-oriented, quality-driven and passionate about working with flowers
📅 Available to work on Saturdays
